Application of a wide range of numerical and analytical computer models is an integral part of water resources projects completed by GROUND STRUCTURES. The numerical models used include several Illinois State Water Survey (ISWS) models for groundwater flow and contaminant transport, and the United States Geological Surveys (USGS) MODFLOW and Method of Characteristics models for groundwater flow and solute transport. We have also developed several finite difference and finite element programs to address specific concerns such as the movement of air and gas through porous media.
